Isha Mishra Car Accident: Young Student Isha Mishra, Age 14, Loses Life in Tragic Crash at Intersection in Flower Mound

 The Flower Mound community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 14-year-old Isha Mishra, a ninth-grade student at Marcus High School, who died after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. The tragic event took place shortly before 4 p.m. on December 2 at the intersection of Valley Ridge Boulevard and Browning Drive, a normally quiet location now overshadowed by grief.


According to the Flower Mound police, officers arrived on the scene to find the girl in critical condition following the impact with a 2020 Chevrolet truck. Emergency medical personnel from the Flower Mound Fire Department rushed her to Medical City Denton; however, despite their efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the deceased was later confirmed by the Denton County Medical Examiner as Isha Mishra, bringing distressing information that many had dreaded.

Authorities have stated that the 60-year-old driver was stopped at a stop sign in the 6000 block of Browning Road when the girl started to cross the street. The vehicle struck her at the intersection, and the reasons for the incident are still under investigation. The driver, who lives in Lewisville, did not sustain any injuries and remained at the scene, fully cooperating with law enforcement. By Tuesday evening, the areas near the accident were closed off as investigators worked to piece together the events that led to the collision.

Lewisville ISD released a statement conveying deep sorrow over the loss of one of its students. "We are heartbroken to confirm that a student from Marcus 9th Grade Campus was killed today in an auto-pedestrian accident off-campus. Our thoughts are with the family during this extremely difficult time," the district said. They also noted that crisis counselors would be available to support grieving students and staff as they navigate this unexpected tragedy.
