She died on Tuesday morning following an accident at the intersection of East University Drive and Alfa Court. The incident, which involved a vehicle and a school bus, occurred around 8 a.m. CST. Despite the prompt arrival of emergency responders, Cooper was pronounced dead at 8:09 a.m. by Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton.
Jennifer Cooper was widely known as the owner of GiGi’s Cupcakes, with establishments in Opelika, Alabama, and Columbus, Georgia.
