STRATFORD, CT — Stratford people are mourning the loss of Ryan Julian, a beloved football player and recent Bunnell High School graduate whose life was brutally taken in a devastating car accident early on Saturday morning.

 STRATFORD, CT — Ryan Julian, a beloved football player and recent Bunnell High School graduate, passed away tragically early Saturday morning in a horrifying vehicle accident. The Stratford community is in mourning. This incident occurred on Nichols Avenue at around 3:35 a.m., and the 18-year-old who had a bright future full of goals, dreams, and hope for a bright future died as a result.

Ryan was one of five teenagers, ages sixteen to twenty-four, from Stratford and the surrounding community of Bridgeport, who were in the car, according to police. First responders called the scene "heart-wrenching" after the automobile reportedly lost control and crashed into a tree in the early morning hours. One passenger is still in serious condition, and three others have minor injuries. Unfortunately, Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene despite attempts to rescue him.
