 The Jackson Township community is grieving the loss of Mikey Gioia, a beloved young man whose life was tragically taken in a car accident.


Friends and family had spent time with him in the days preceding the awful occurrence, never realizing it would be their last. His passing has shocked and grieved his family, friends, and neighbors.


Mikey was known to many as a bright light, a lively, gregarious young man with a smile that could cheer anyone up. His presence was always genuine and friendly, and he had a special way of making everyone around him feel valued and significant.

He stated, "My best friend and my dearest friend, who has been there for me through everything, lost his little brother Mikey tonight." Mikey tragically passed away in a car accident less than a week later while we were spending Saturday night with him and a few of his friends.
