The Fannett Independent School District laments the death of softball catcher Jayleigh Moralez Beaumont of Texas.

 We regret to inform you of the demise of Jayleigh Moralez, a cherished senior at Hamshire-Fannett High School and the Ladyhorns softball team's proud varsity catcher. Jayleigh was a leader, a team player, and a shining example in her community in addition to being an athlete.

The only thing that could equal Jayleigh's achievements on the field was her personality off it. Behind the plate, she was renowned for her bravery, tenacity, and resolve. She was the center of her squad and motivated everyone around her to strive harder and pursue their goals. She stood out as a player and an inspiration to younger athletes because of her commitment to both her sport and her studies.


Jayleigh was well-known for her generosity, humor, and unflinching optimism outside of softball. She had a captivating personality and a smile that could brighten any space. Her relatives and friends recall her as a kind young lady who lived each day with happiness and purpose and who had a great deal of sympathy for other people.

The tragic loss of Jayleigh has left her teammates, coaches, classmates, and everyone who knew her with an indelible hole in their hearts. Every game played, every cheer yelled, and every instance of tenacity displayed by those she inspired will carry on her memory.
