The teen's body was released for memorial ceremonies, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. This could indicate that a cause of death has been identified but not made public.
Hernandez's body was discovered in the trunk of a Tesla that belonged to musician D4vd over two weeks ago.
After being discovered dead in an impounded Tesla belonging to musician D4vd, Los Angeles police have identified the body as that of an adolescent.
The 20-year-old singer's Hollywood Hills residence was searched by the Los Angeles Police Department last week. The car was seized and sent to a tow yard, which is not far from the house.

Since then, D4vd has canceled the rest of his tour as authorities look into the teen's death and any possible connections to the singer.
During a Wednesday on-set interview, LAPD Chief Jim McDonnel was asked about it and stated that he was unable to provide much details regarding the current investigation.
We have a great deal of resources devoted to finishing it. However, it would be improper to go beyond what has already been made public, McDonnell stated.

"Whenever you investigate a homicide, the investigators look at all of the linked concerns as well," the police chief remarked in response to rumors that the musician and the kid may have been romantically involved. That is something that they would do in this instance.
