Allison Lowery Car Accident: A 12-Year-Old Girl Identified as Allison Lowery Passed Away in a Bicycle and Semi-Truck Crash in Newburgh.

 Twelve-year-old Allison Lowery from Newburgh tragically passed away after being struck and killed by a semitruck while she was cycling across the roadway.

As per the Warrick County Sheriff's Office, the incident took place at the intersection of State Route 66 and Sharon Road. Sheriff Mike Wilder stated that evidence at the scene indicated the truck driver had a green light and attempted to stop before the impact but could not do so in time.

Allison was an intelligent and kindhearted young girl whose life was abruptly ended. She was enrolled in a nearby middle school. Sheriff Wilder emphasized the tragic impact of the incident not only on Allison's family but also on the first responders, bystanders, and the wider community. He urged individuals to refrain from sharing any images of the accident on social media out of respect for the families who may be affected by hearing such news in that manner.

Authorities do not expect any criminal charges to be filed in connection with the incident. A GoFundMe page has since been launched to help the Lowery family, who are heartbroken by the loss of Allison. Additionally, a crisis response team from the Warrick County School Corporation will be available to provide assistance to staff and students who are experiencing grief.
